The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team opened their season with a 15-3 five-inning win at home. Maddie Predaris sparked the offense with three hits, three runs scored and a home run. Morgan Atwell and Grace Moore each had two hits apiece while Catherine Torr and Olivia Grazianio added base hits. Annabel Kossakoski walked three times and Anna Gasper scored two runs. Jill Cortez was the winning pitcher going 3 innings, allowing 1 hit and struck out 4. Graziano pitched a solid two innings allowing 3 unearned runs on 2 hits. Sophie Nadeau scored two runs and played outstanding defense.
