The STA JV Softball team dropped their 2nd game of the season at home to the Cougars of Kearsarge High School by the score of 17-10. The Saints rallied for 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning before Kearsarge's ace pitcher returned into the game from 1st base to close out the contest with the bases loaded. Olivia Graziano pitched a fine game for the Saints and struck out 2 big cats. The STA offense was paced by a single by Sophia Nadeau who also had 4 stolen bases. The STA defense was complimented by a strong performance by Serena Gerome with 4 put outs at 2nd base. Jenna Bancroft hustled all over the field and made a lunging catch on a fly ball to center field. Sofia Catapano also made a nice play at 3rd base to retire the side in the 4th inning. The catch of the day was made by Ursula Auboeck who snagged a deep drive to right field in the top of the 7th inning to keep the Saints in the game. The 1st win for the Saints is right around the corner!
