Coaches

Sean Houlahan.


Head Coach

Biography:
Coach Sean Houlahan has been with the Saints since 2014 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the boys lacrosse program.  He is a graduate of Shaker High School in Loudonville, NY and he played collegiate lacrosse at Boston College.  Coach Houlahan has an extensive coaching background that includes a year long coaching stint at his alma mater high school and a nine year span with the Dover High School (NH) lacrosse program. Along with being the Head Coach for St. Thomas Aquinas, he also owns and  runs Houlagan Lacrosse, a premiere club lacrosse program for the seacoast. He was a standout player throughout his high school and collegiate career and he strives to share his knowledge with young players. He has twice been selected as Foster's Coach of The Year (2011, 2015). Coach Houlahan resides in Dover, NH with his loving wife and three kids who love playing and watching their dad coach lacrosse.

Matt Janetos.


Assistant Coach

Biography:

Coach Janetos has been assisting the Saints since 2014 as the program's defensive coordinator. A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas in 2009, he helped lead the Saints to two state titles and a semi finalist run. He is a graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY where he played three seasons for the Dolphins; a perennial powerhouse in Division II. 

Along with his time coaching the Saints, Coach Janetos works with the seacoast's local club program, Houlagans Lacrosse, at the high school level helping student-athletes with the college recruitment process. Coach Janetos resides in Rollinsford and works for Janco Electronics, Inc., a family owned and operated electronics contract manufacturer.

Daniel De Tolla.


Assistant Coach

Biography:

Dr. Daniel H. De Tolla graduated from Half Hollow Hills HS East in Dix Hills, NY (Long Island) in 1990 where he captained both the varsity soccer and lacrosse teams while receiving multiple New York State awards.  He went on to play lacrosse at Yale University where he was a three time defensive All-American and the lone captain of the 1994 team.  Dr. De Tolla is an Oral and maxillofacial surgeon on the Seacoast where he lives with his wife Elizabeth and four children Ryan Henry, Camden, Finley and Charlotte.  He has coached the defense at Portsmouth HS since 2006 and is very active in the youth lacrosse programs in the area namely Houlagans and Seacoast Lacrosse.  Entering his first year with the Saints, he is looking forward to sharing his knowledge to the players of STA.
