Scott Singer

Head Coach

Boys Varsity Lacrosse

Scott Singer, who helped guide The Roxbury Latin School boy’s lacrosse program for the past three years, has joined the St. Thomas Aquinas community for the 2022 Boys Lacrosse season, as the Head Coach. Singer has helped guide many of his student-athletes to some of the top colleges in the nation. The list of players either currently attending or committed to the following schools include Duke, Princeton, Brown, Yale, Harvard, Providence, UMASS, Bucknell, Vermont, Marquette, Bowdoin, Tufts, Loyola, Holy Cross, Merrimack, Ohio Wesleyan, Williams, and More.

Singer was recently named as a coach for the US U15 Indoor Lacrosse Team and currently serves as the Vice President of Lacrosse for Four Leaf New England and is the Founder of Midnight Rider Lacrosse. Scott founded Midnight Rider Lacrosse with the mission to bring New England youth and high school lacrosse players the most elite indoor (“BOX”) lacrosse program the area has to offer. Tired of seeing field lacrosse being played inside box rinks, he wanted to offer a program to kids from any club, high school, or town an opportunity to learn the game the right way.

Scott came to New England after serving as the offensive coordinator at Ohio Wesleyan University. While at OWU, Singer helped lead the Battling Bishops to the 2018 NCAA quarterfinals and the team finished ranked seventh in year-end national polls. Scott coached seven USILA All- Americans, one Scholar All-American, 14 All-NCAC honorees, and a short-stick midfielder honored with Division III’s Specialty Player Of The Year Award. Scott and the Ohio Wesleyan staff were also voted the 2018 IMLCA DIII Coaching Staff of the Year. While he was coaching the offense at OWU, the unit ranked in the top ten nationally in both scoring and man-up offense.

Scott went to Ohio Wesleyan after spending time as the offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Colorado College. During his time with the Tigers, he helped the team advance to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. He also coached two All-Americans, a Scholar All-American, and four All-Region players.

Prior to Colorado College, Scott was an assistant coach at Roger Williams University for three seasons. He served as defensive coordinator in 2014 and 2015 and as offensive coordinator in 2016, helping the Hawks compile a 37-17 record.

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Scott played Division I collegiate lacrosse at the University of Hartford, where he was a midfielder. He completed a bachelor's degree in business administration and sports management. Scott continued his education at Lasell College, where he earned a master's degree in sports management and sports leadership.

Singer currently resides in Newington, NH with his fiance and their two dogs.
