Carson Cross

Head Coach

Boys Varsity Baseball

Coach Carson Cross is excited to join the St. Thomas Aquinas community as the Head Coach of boys varsity baseball for the 2022 season. As a 2010 graduate of Exeter High School, Cross knows the unique circumstances the competitive players in the New England region face as they strive for excellence. He is dedicated to helping these athletes develop healthy training habits, strong work ethics, and essential leadership skills. With expertise in player development and pitch design, Cross is passionate about helping players tap into their highest potential both on and off the field.

While attending the University of Connecticut, where Cross achieved great success as a RHP, two-year captain, and All-American, he was drafted by the Pittsburg Pirates in 2013. With a desire to remain committed to both his academics and growth as a pitcher and leader, Cross continued his journey as a Husky until graduating in 2015 and being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals that spring.

By the time his career as a player ended in 2017, Cross was both ready and eager to step into his calling as a coach. While he started as a private coach for local players in the Seacoast, his impressive knowledge and forward-thinking approach caught the attention of the Milwaukee Brewers, who ultimately hired him in 2019.

After coaching in their minor league system for three seasons, Cross followed his desires to return to the Seacoast and dedicate his time to helping New England athletes find a sense of home on the field and experience immense growth and success in the sport. He co-founded 603evo in Exeter, NH in 2020 as a place where local athletes, from beginners to pros, could fit into a culture built on hard work, accountability, and community. His work there landed him opportunities to present at the World Baseball Coaches Convention in 2020 and 2022.

Cross is both Driveline and Armory certified and is committed to staying up-to-date on modern player development techniques. He is looking forward to bringing his love for the game, dedication to players, and all-around growth mindset to the St. Thomas Aquinas community this season and beyond.

Cross currently resides in Exeter, NH with his fiancée. When he’s not on the field or in his training facility, he can be found enjoying the coast, biking NH’s backroads, or exploring the White Mountains.
