Jeff Butts

Assistant Coach

Boys Varsity Football

Coach Jeff grew up in Upstate New York. He was a three-sport athlete at Hamilton Central High School, playing football, basketball and track. Jeff graduated in 1990 and continued his football career at Moravian College in Pennsylvania. After College, Jeff came to New Hampshire and began his career in law enforcement with the Exeter Police Department. In February of 2020 Jeff retired from Exeter and became an officer with the University of New Hampshire Police Department.

Jeff and his wife Krista celebrated their 23rd anniversary in the summer of 2020. Together they are raising their three sons in Lee, NH. Their eldest son is now a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas. Like many dad's, Jeff began his coaching career by teaching his son's football, basketball and baseball through the Oyster River Youth Association. He joined the coaching staff at St. Thomas Aquinas in 2017.

"I enjoy working with the student-athletes. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of their lives as they grow and develop from kids in to young men and women. I sincerely hope that I can make a positive impact in their lives. They have definitely done so for me."  - Coach Jeff Butts
