Assistant Coach

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey

Coach Caitie Banfield has been with the Saints/Warriors/Green Wave Girls Ice Hockey Team as an Assistant Coach since 2019. Caitie has over nine years of coaching experience. Prior to joining the Saints, she was an assistant coach
for the U-32 Raiders girls varsity high school team in East Montpelier, VT. Caitie worked with The Vermont Stars select summer hockey program as an assistant coach for the U-10, U-12, and U-14 teams.

She has an extensive playing career including playing for the Cadets of Norwich University in Northfield, VT, where she played defense and was a member of the program’s first National Championship team, the 2011 NCAA Division III National Champions. Caitie and her team were recently inducted into the Norwich Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021, celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the National Championship.

Caitie played four years of varsity high school hockey at Montpelier High School in
Montpelier, VT, where she was a captain and leading scorer all four years. Caitie was named to the Vermont Rotary Game and a member of Team Vermont at the Make-A-Wish game in the summer of 2008. She also represented the state of Vermont for several years at the USA Hockey New England District
development camps.
