The STA Lady Saints JV Softball Team lost 13 to 10 in a back and forth cross town battle with Somersworth High School. The talented Hilltoppers of Somersworth jumped on the scoreboard early with 8 runs but the Saints fought back resiliently and rallied late in the fifth inning to take a 10 to 8 lead. STA's pitching ace Olivia Graziano exhibited great command of her pitches against a powerful Somersworth lineup and chalked up 4 strikeouts with battery support from catcher Ava Coffey. The Saturday game day sunshine sparked many standout STA defensive plays including fantastic catches and crafty plays by Kalya Klopotoski in LF; Olivia Bolduc at 3B; Sophie Nadeau at 1B; Serena Gerome at 2B; Jenna Bancroft (multiple dazzling catches) in CF, and Kassidy Pottier at SS. The Saints offense was propelled by solid hits for singles and doubles by Serena Gerome; Sophie Nadeau; Jenna Bancroft; Olivia Bolduc; Ursula Auboeck; Olivia Graziano and Kassidy Pottier. Top base stealers for the day were Sophie Nadeau and Olvia Bolduc. The Saints keep  marching on in search of their 1st win of the season which is right around the bend! Maybe STA's own "BERNIE" will come watch the JV team play soon and cheer the team on to its 1st win of the season!
