CoEd Varsity Cross Country

Brittany Castillo (Colford) is an STA alumnus of the class of 2009. As a student at St. Thomas, she competed in cross country, indoor and outdoor track, and basketball. She ran on STA’s NH Class I State Champion 4x400m relay team and qualified twice for the NH Meet of Champions in cross country as well as the 800m in outdoor track.

After STA, she ran cross country, indoor and outdoor track (800m, 1000m, and Steeplechase) for Colby College, and then went on to run for the post-collegiate elite team Battle Road Track Club (formerly New Balance Boston) for four years. In 2017, she moved to Ecuador and began competing in trail and mountain races for the club Ecuadoruns. 

For many summers she was a camp counselor at Foss Running Camp. While living in Boston after college, she started and coached a middle school cross country and track team at St. Columbkille Partnership School. In 2020, she began teaching science at STA, and has taken part in coaching cross country ever since. She currently lives in Dover with her husband Marco and dog Cora.
